A Question about Animated Skins - Guild Wars Forums

I am a war and I am looking to get an animated Sword, Hammer and Axe.

I do not have access to the wiki at work.

Can someone tell me what name of the animated skins are.

I have the destroyer weapons and they do not " animate ". I was looking for something like the Celestial Weapons but not so girlie cause like...I am a MAN war. LOL

Chaos Axe I have but it just kinda is white...or I could dye it...

chaos axe dyed will give you very shiny colors. tormented and celestial are the only others that come to mind atm.

Fellblade> Celestial and Tormented, and are animated. Magmas shield is also animated, and looks good with a destroyer.

no never to late. I got lots of gold. I made 700K last night trading title points junk. So much so I filled my hall in one fell swoop and have 200K left over. I will be doing it again in a few days to so gold is not a concern.

That means I can buy more than one. I do not know what Sword that I want. Does this one have flames that move or is it more like the Fiery Axe where the think just sits there as with the destroyer weapons as well.

I like the celestial sword but boy oh boy is that every girlie and totally gay for a male war to be carring in around. I mean gay is ok if you like it up the bottom but this man thinks that is a trite shite if you know what I am talking about. Some things are just not right and people think it is!

Anywho off topic there. I want a MAN's sword. Like a SIDE OF BEEF or a Pound of Ribs to gnaw the meat of the bones! I want something that looks heavy to carry made of steel and fire that drips blood and pierces the skin with ease. I want it partly dull so it tears through the skin leaving hunks of flesh on the ground and the bones exposed on my enemies.

I want something like Excalibur where I had to use my hammer to smash the piece of rock apart cause I am not noble enough to pull it out of the stone.

I do not want some light purple colored sword that has little fairies flying around it and people say, "ahhhh look how cute that stick in your hand is.. can I look at it?" No I want people to look and say, "holly RED ENGINE RED ENGINE..I am getting GORED!!!!! to death".

so as you can see its a fantasy game and I am well immersed in it.

You want a Charr Sword.

Here are some more manly-looking swords. (But not as good as the Charr Sword!)

Obsidian Edge:

Wyvern Blade: (try and see how it looks in-game, this picture doesn't do it justice)

Fellblade: (widely considered the largest sword in the game)

now that looks kewl but the sword itself is a piece of crap straight blade. Now why would they go and animate that thing when they could have animated the D sword?

Eternal is animated, but if you can't see the animation on the Destroyer weapons, you won't notice it on the Eternal Blade either.

Although not animated, I find the Oni Blade to be quite 'manly' looking. Same with the Vertebreaker.

And depending on which movie/cartoon/book that you reference, finding a sword that looks like Excalibur may be hard. I would say the closest is the Runic Blade.

The Destroyer Sword is animated, but you have to turn the shader quality up to high to see it. Also, animated weapons will occasionally stop animating and you have to restart the game to get them to move again.

The Destroyer is most definately animated, if you turn all the video setting up for the game you will see that the lava in the sword has a kinda glow and moves around a little bit. not as obvious as celestial weapons but still. :P

One not earlier mentioned here is Zodiac sword. It has a nice glow and it isnt as girlish as Celestial sword(which fits nicely to female warrior

). Not strongly animated, but the glow changes a little bit.

Some others:
Vampiric dragon sword(red)
Fiery dragon sword(fiery red/orange)
Icy dragon sword

Fiery embersteel blade(a bit more manly than fiery gladius I assume)

One easy pick if you pre-ordered eye of the north

Although not animated, I find the Oni Blade to be quite 'manly' looking. Same with the Vertebreaker.
